By-Laws

1.        Membership dues are $700.00 per year. $100.00 due by March 31st and the remainder by June 1st, if dues are not paid by June 1st there will be a $ 50.00 fine, and / or member will be dropped from membership.


2.        Membership is good for one hunting season only June 1st – May 31st.


3.        Membership dues are non-refundable.


4.        A Member must have their membership card in their possession at all times while hunting on club land.


5.        The hunts will begin at the club house each morning.


6.        Any member or guest found to be driving or parking in a field with crops will be fined
$25.00 and any replacement cost to the land owner, which must be paid before they are allowed to hunt again. (This includes Nash Brick Co. land except for the club house)


7.        Members are required to attend at least three workdays each year as posted and also participate in our annual fund raisers. Work days will be scheduled by the Board of Directors. If a member does not attend three workdays, they will be fined $50.00 per day missed. Workdays start at 8:00 am at the club house. All workday fines must be paid before a member is allowed to hunt. Work days consist of six to eight hour day to be considered a work day.

8.       There will not be any scheduled work day during Turkey season.


9.        All new members will be issued a key to all gates once dues are paid in full.


10.        All members and their guest shall abide by the game laws of North Carolina and all local and county laws in which the hunt is held.


11.        No running of dogs for deer is allowed on club land in Nash County due to the size and safety of each parcel of property. All other hunting for big game or small game is allowed.


12.        All deer must be tagged, (tagging book will be in the club house in the file holder).


13.        Bag limit on does will be according to N.C. game laws only.


14.        Deer hunting is only allowed on the Lynch Farm, no Turkey hunting or small game hunting, this includes no fishing in the ponds on this property without written permission from Mr. Lynch.


15.        Children 15 years of age and younger shall be under the control and site of their guardian at all times on club land (dog hunting or still hunting).


16.        No person (friend’s or relatives) can hunt on Twin Creeks Hunting Club land without a member or sponsor present at all times.


17.         Members and guest shall practice all safety rules and apply “COMMON SENSE” while hunting.

                                                      
18.        No ATV vehicles are to be ridden on the Lynch Farm without written permission from Mr. Lynch.


19.        The use or possession of any illegal substance is prohibited on any Twin Creeks Hunt Club land or club house.


20.        There will be no fires, grilling, or cooking on club land except at the club house.


21.        All members are responsible for their guest, guest fees will be $30.00 per day for dog hunting, still hunting or Turkey hunting and $10.00 per day for small game. These fees to be paid first thing that morning before the hunt starts. A guest is defined as a person with a weapon that is participating in a hunt. Any guest participating in a fox hunt must pay guest fees.


22.        Guest are allowed to hunt four ( 4 ) times only during a hunting season, June 1 thru May 31st,  (unless approved by officers prior to hunting ).


23.        Guest are not allowed to hunt on opening day of deer season or the last day of deer season. (members and immediate family only on these two days)


24.        All members and guest are required to sign in at the club house prior to still hunting or Turkey hunting and must sign out before leaving ( THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE MUST! ).


25.        A member or guest cannot sign in more than 1 hour prior to still-hunting.


26.        The sign-in books (still hunting book, dog hunting book,  guest book and the game register book) is the property of Twin Creeks Hunt Club and is to remain in the club house during hunting season and thereafter removed only by an officer of the club.


27.        All club land and club stands can be still-hunted on a first come sign-in basis. 


28.        Still hunting and deer stands will only be permitted on leased club land, or with the land owner’s permission.


29.        No member or guest can hunt in another member’s personal stand (box stand, ladder stand, loc-on or climbing stand) without the member’s permission. Use hunter ethics.


30.        All members and honorary members have voting rights on all issues; you must attend in person at a called meeting for your vote to count.


31.        No meeting can be called a business meeting where issues are brought up to be voted on that will change any of these by-laws without all members being notified seven ( 7 ) days in advance prior to a meeting.


32.        A member of Twin Creeks Hunting Club cannot be a member of another hunt club that has land adjoining to our club land unless approved by the Board of Directors.


33.        All new members are on probation for the first year and their permanent membership in Twin Creeks Hunting Club there after will be upon the decision of the Board of Directors.


34.        Consumption of alcoholic beverages are prohibited before or during any hunt, (dog hunting, still hunting, Turkey hunting or small game hunting).


35.        Any member or guest who becomes intoxicated while on a hunt will be immediately suspended from Twin Creeks Hunting Club, until advised by the Board of Directors that they may return.


36.        All members are responsible for locking gates, cables and club house when leaving.


37.        There will absolutely be no rifles used on Twin Creeks Hunting Club land except while still hunting.
38.        DO NOT shoot guns on club house property (rifles, shotguns or pistols).


39.        No loaded handguns are allowed in the club house.


40.        Any hardship case will be appealed to the Board of Directors. Upon approval by the Board of Directors, the member will not be removed from the membership, but will not be allowed to hunt until dues are paid in full.


41.        Children of active members will be allowed to hunt under their parent’s membership until age 18 or age 21, provided he/she remains a full-time student. Upon becoming eligible for membership, they will be accepted into the club.


42.        Be cordial to all landowners and all members and guest will abide by all requirements on land contracts.


43.        DO NOT LITTER !


44.        All members are required to have a dog box and Marine radio (hand held or mobile) while dog hunting.

45.       The Board of Directors are voted on each year to make decisions for the betterment of the club during the year and to inform the      members on any major issue to get their opinion that will affect the club as a whole before making a decision.     


46.        Any grievances or By-Law violations will be reviewed by the Board of Directors.


47.        Annual Club Meeting will be as follows each year:
      1st Thursday night of February at the club house.
     All club business will be discussed for the upcoming year.
     ( Elect officers, financial report, set up work days, set up needed  committees, ect).

( Any infractions to these rules should be brought to the attention of the Board of Directors and could lead to your club dismissal )

I have read and understand these rules and as a member of Twin Creeks Hunting club will abide by all rules.
